Alexis Yaro

Originally from a small town in Illinois, Alexis has called Arizona home for the past four years and has recently transferred to Northern Arizona University to achieve a Vocal Music Education degree. She’s a proud graduate of Glendale Community College with an Associate’s in Music. For three years, Alexis taught private voice and piano lessons at Musical Surprise, where she worked with brand-new beginners and intermediate musicians. With over 11 years of performing experience, she brings a mix of passion, patience, and creativity to every lesson. Alexis believes that music should be fun, inspiring, and focus on confidence building. Her goal is always to make students feel comfortable while exploring their own unique voices (or piano keys!). With her bright smile, creative teaching style, and plenty of engaging lesson plans, you’ll always leave feeling encouraged and excited to keep making music. Music has shaped her life thanks to her own amazing teachers, and now she’s thrilled to continue the tradition, helping the next generation fall in love with music too.
